Big news! Jason Filiatrault's comedic-drama, Entanglement will be getting a U.S. theatrical release from Dark Star Pictures. Releasing on February 9th 2018, Entanglement will be Dark Star’s first nationwide theatrical, VOD, and digital release. The film premiered at the 2017 Seattle International Film Festival. Entanglement stars Silicon Valley's Thomas Middleditch as a fairly depressed man who falls in love with a woman who was almost, but not-quite, his sister. The movie is directed by Jason James, produced by James and Amber Ripley, and written by Filiatrault.

Founded by Breaking Glass Pictures executive Michael Repsch, Dark Star Pictures will be looking to solidify a full 2018 release slate and announced the acquisition of Entanglement at this year's American Features Market in Santa Monica.

“Dark Star Pictures is committed to bringing diversified and hyper-targeted content to a millennial-focused audience in the digital age,” Repsch said. “Our goal is to bring auteur-driven [and] unique voices to North American audiences, films that challenge viewers while keeping them wanting more and, most importantly, starting conversations.”

Thunderbird Releasing will be handling the Canadian rights for Entanglement, setting the film for a same day release on Feb. 9th across Canada in select Cineplex Theatres.
